Late 2017: This company has had my check for over a month, and I can not even get a return call about when the work will be started. The office manager when I call says the business owner will call me right back and never does. Getting frustrated! Update 6/30/19: After complaining to Home Advisor I finally got them to complete the roofing part of the job a year and a half ago. They were concerned about their relationship with Home Advisor. However, they never did the gutter work and they did not clean up the mess of roofing materials they left. My wife and I (both in our 70’s) had to go out and clean it up and drag the trash to the curb. I gave up on getting the gutter work done. I don’t want them near my house. They were paid almost $6,000 for a 1,200 sq foot manufactured home. Then I get a call from my insurance company that they were putting in a supplemental claim for $25,000 saying that they did a lot of work that they never did. One claim was for $7,000 to cover the roof with a temporary tarp. There was NEVER a tarp placed on the house. They claim they did thousands of dollars of work on the interior of the house. They NEVER even came in the door. This is a company of crooks. Today 6/30/19 I got a call from a young lawyer saying he was representing the roofing company against my insurance company. He was nice and had no idea what kind of people he was representing. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Oh yes, if you see any 5 star reviews, do not believe them. The owner of the company spoofs his own reviews! Home Advisor told me they have since dropped this company.

Please. Please don't hire them. They took the money from my insurance company to do the roof, gutters and siding. After several calls they did the roof but I have been waiting for 2 years to complete the job. I called many times and when they answered , they said that they are going to do it or had any excuse. They just steal the money.

Gulf Atlantic Industries of America Disaster Relief has taken advantage of a elderly lady who's husband has just died when Hurricane Irma hit. They did a terrible job on a roof and now want several thousands of dollars because they provided her with an estimate at the ORIGINAL time of the loss for WORK THEY COULD NOT DO. She signed the assignment of benefits and they know they can keep taking money from her. Meanwhile her property is NOT FIXED because she has no money. They have $19,000.00 of money for a roof on a house of less than 1100 square feet. Please do not EVER let these people or anyone else talk you into Assignment of Benefits!

SEE UPDATE BELOW After hurricane Irma (Sep 2017) had roofing damage. Home Advisor was used and sales rep came on Oct 9, 2017. Roof install began approximately the 2nd week in Feb 2018. Roofer installers dropping shingle bundles caused multiple ceiling drywall cracks on large patio. Cracks repaired, but work does not match rest of ceiling. With rain downpours in May-June the family room ceiling around chimney flue leaked causing a substantial stain. Leak area was sealed, BUT STAINED area not fixed and attic not checked for mold. WAITING - If roofers had not dropped bundles and sealed properly would not have had any problems. Had proper sealing been done around flue would not have had problem. Also had tar drippings spilled on entry sidewalk. PROBLEM - respond time to correct issues SLOW. THE ONLY person to respond in a timely manor was the sales rep. The rating that I am posting here is only for the roofers and managers. County inspector found installation problems and Gulf Atlantic Industries of America Disaster Relief, LLC fixed issues inspector found. WOW almost 9 months now and the family room water leak (mid May 2018) was stopped but the inside of attic area has not been inspected. The concern is MOLD. The area inside of the attic that got wet needs inspected and if there is mold it needs to be eradicated. Company was very proactive in getting insurance check and my 2% fee. The SAGA continues. UPDATE UPDATE Date 27 October 2018 -- had a deluge of rain yesterday. CEILING IS WET THUS CEILING DRAYWALL IS SOFT AND DAMP. AFTER HURRICANE IRMA MY CEILING WAS NOT WET OR STAINED. AFTER NEW ROOFING INSTALLED BY GULF ATLANTIC INDUSTRIES OF AMERICAN ROOFERS THAT IMPROPERLY INSTALLED ROOFING AROUND THE CHIMMNEY. THEY RECEIVED THIS LEAK INFORMATION AND PHOTOS AND AS OF THIS DATE HAVE DONE NOTHING TO REPAIR. INSURANCE COMPANY WILL BE NOTIFIED AGAIN AND A CLAIM SUBMITTED. APPRENTLY GULF INDUSTRIES DOES NOT OWN UP TO THE FACT THEY CAUSED THE PROBLEM AND DOES NOT WANT TO FIX THE PROBLEM. ((((( PLEASE DO NOT EVER HAVE THIS COMPANY DO WORK FOR YOU ))))) SUCH A SHAME THAT HOMEOWNERS MUST PUT-UP WITH SUCH POOR QUALITY OF WORKMANSHIP FROM A LARGE COMPANY. AGAIN -- ANYONE IN FLORIDA PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

They took the money from my insurance company. They told insurance company the job was done and took off with money. They never even started the job.
