I called for an estimate on a roof replacement for a property we are purchasing. I was told "we can't run around all day doing quotes for free if you can't guarantee us the business." How can I even consider giving a company my business if they refuse to take the time to drive out and tell me how much it will cost? Not a terribly witty business practice. I'll go with the people who will offer me a quote, without the attitude.
