Requested an estimate for full siding and window replacement. Made it clear we were serious buyers for this large job (32 windows). Mike came out and met with me and took some measurements. He seemed like a decent guy, but never responded with an estimate or follow up or anything. I gave it a few weeks and followed up and received no response. I am sure they do a nice job...but customer communication is key. Set expectations on timelines with potential customers for estimates, job completions, etc. Send proactive emails or phone calls outlining these things and if you cannot meet their time frames or requests, thats OK! Ignoring them and never following up is not. We have since taken our business elsewhere to a company that promptly responded to our request for proposal and they will begin work in early December. Preferred Home Improvement, you really missed the ball on this one as our neighbors are ALL in need of new windows and siding due to the age of the development, this could have been your opportunity to gain significant business!
