These folks did a great job. They scheduled a dumpster to be dropped off the day before and the crew showed up first thing the next morning with the materials. Even with a few bumps in the process, the roof was completed when promised and the crew did a better clean-up job than I had expected.
Great service and wonderful family business! They were able to install a 48 square foot roof in a day and a half! All the clean up was done by the company in a fast and orderly profession! Not many companies have the owner come out and make sure you are happy with the job! Defiantly recommend this roofing company!
Contracted for siding on three story condo building. Job has been done in record time and with such professionalism. Owners in the complex have called to say the crew is one of the most courteous that has ever been on site. Everything is picked up at end of work day and it has been a four day job.
I hired RTB to replace my roof. The workers arrived on-time and installed the roof in a timely manner. After the roof was completed I inspected the roof from the outside and inside and noticed there were a few ragged edges and the ridge vent wasn't cut to allow air flow. I contacted the company multiple times to schedule a follow-up and it was a constant hassle to get the problem corrected. After about a month, two individuals finally came out and inspected the roof. They said they would call me to schedule a time to fix it. I had to call repeatedly to get the ridge vent scheduled. Their inspectors said the edges were okay but my most of my neighbors roof lines look perfect and it bothers me. Also, they failed to reattach my rear gutter which was in the contract and communication is subpar at best. It will be a constant struggle to get mistakes corrected. I would not recommend RTB construction to anyone.
I had a roof installed by RTB on 1/19/2017. A few months later, a roof leak was noticed causing stains in the living room and over the rear door. May 8, 2017, I contacted John (salesman) at RTB, and informed him about the roof leaking. John stated that he would file the claim immediately and someone would be out to assess the leak soon. May 22, 2017, a representative from RTB called me and scheduled a on-site visit for that day at 3:45 PM. The tech came out and put black caulk sealant over exposed nails that he assumed were creating the leak. He stated that the original installer left old flashing and roof tile on roof. 11/27/17 Another leak was noted. I contacted RTB. The receptionist I spoke with stated she is going to find out the field tech’s availability and call me back. 12/4/17 Never received contact back from RTB, so I called again. I was told that the delay was due to people being out sick and were unable to schedule a visit. The receptionist stated Tony would be back tomorrow and she would consult with him and call me then. 1/21/18 Still no call back received from RTB, and the leak has grown and continued to spread across the wall, and up the ceiling to the top. Called RTB again but was unable to get an answer. 1/31/18 I called RTB again, and explained my frustration over how many times I‘ve called and how long this problem has existed. The person answering the phone placed me on hold while she spoke with the owner (Jeanie?). When she came back on the line, she said the owner was getting in touch with her field service person and would call me back later this same day. I verified that they had both my work and cell numbers. There was no returned call again. 2/1/18 @ 16:30 I attempted to call again, multiple times, but could not get anyone to answer the phone. I attempted to contact John (original salesman) and left him a message explaining my frustration and that I was running out of patience and was going to file a complaint with HomeAdvisor (how I originally found RTB) if I didn’t hear back this day. At 17:17, Jeanie called me back and stated Mario and Brandon would be here the next evening to look at problem. 2/2/18, 2 guys came to assess the situation. 1 of them stated he was the owner’s son. They determined that the flashing was done incorrectly and made a phone call. After the call, he stated someone would be coming the next morning to fix the problem. While the 2 guys were in the attic assessing the roof, one of them stepped off of the rafters and his foot went through my foyer ceiling, causing a large crack. The owner’s son stated that he would have their drywall repair person contact me on Monday to schedule a repair to the crack and the water stains. 2/3/18 The owner’s son came back with a roof tech. The tech determined that the original installers failed to place flashing under a spot where one of my roof angles overlaps another. Instead of installing the roof correctly, they simply cut shingles to frame around this area, leaving an exposed section of roof for water to enter. He took several shingles off, placed proper flashing, and placed the shingles back in place. I asked about the ceiling repairs, and was told that someone would call me soon to arrange for both the crack and stains to be repaired. 3/19/18 I never heard back from RTB, so I called for follow up on when repair person will come fix ceiling. I spoke with Jeanie (owner?) and she stated that her drywall guy has been busy with a big project at the oceanfront. She stated she will call me back tomorrow with a repair date. I never head back from RTB. 7/2/18 @ 3:30pm Never heard back from RTB. It’s been several months without contact. I attempted to contact them, but got an automated attendant. I selected extension 12, which it stated was Jeanie’s, and I left a message. I also called John’s cell phone and left him a message. I did not hear back. ** There’s even more to this story but I ran out of room so I had to delete info about the shed not being done to GAF standards because they didn’t remove the old shingles.
