From meeting the representative who asked me if I would like a free inspection to see if I qualified for a roof paid for by my own insurance company, to the account manager who guided the paper and payments, was Ryan -- telling me at every stage what will happen and when and occasionally reassuring me that this whole process would really cost me nothing. American dream home improvement did my roof about five years ago. At the top of the contract it says “lifetime workmanship guarantee.” One of the materials that they replaced when they did the construction blew off the house the other day. It was an inexpensive piece of facia, but there are unwilling to replace it even though it was their poor workmanship that caused it to fall off. It wasn’t properly secured to the house when they put it up. If they won’t replace the inexpensive materials, I have zero faith that they’ll stand behind any expensive repairs.
