After a home visit from Emily Rinaldo, sales representative for Homefix Custom Remodeling in Richmond, my wife and I decided to hire the company to replace the roof on our home. Emily took the time to listen to our concerns about what we were looking for in a new roof and presented options for the new roofing shingles and underlying materials. She answered all our questions about the company and the installation process. She even made notes in the final contract about what areas of our landscaping would require extra protection during the removing of the old roof. After the contact was signed, numerous people within the company contacted us to ensure that the project would be started and completed in a proper manner. Sara, roofing install manager, kept us informed when the materials were ordered and to be delivered, along with an installation date. The installation crew, led by Edgar, did a fantastic job with the roof installation and daily cleanup of the job site. The crew worked long hours under the hot sun and communicated well as the demolition and installation of the new roof progressed. They were courteous and gracious. Jim McMullin, Project Manager for Homefix Custom Remodeling, made a final site visit along with Emily to making sure we were happy with the job and asked if we had any additional questions or concerns. Jim reminded me about the extended roof warranty and that if any issues arise that I call him directly. Overall, our decision we made to hire Homefix Custom Remodeling exceeded our expectations. I have had a wonderful experience with HCR. Ben Wagner gave a very pleasant and thorough description of the company and its services. The company gave thorough descriptions of what to expect and followed through. The work was done in a timely manner and the workers made sure that my property was protected and clean when the job was finished. I love my new roof.

We have had Ben Wagner with Home Fix out to our house twice for two different jobs. He has a great personality and definitely had our interests in mind. He showed us our options and helped us make an informed decision on what to go with for windows in our sunroom. We then had him back for windows in our basement and he was very helpful then too. It is very good for Home Fix to have such a good salesmen because it makes the first impression pleasant. The installation side was good also and they are always calling to make sure your happy with everything. We will be calling Ben Wagner back to have more work done down the road!

BUYER BEWARE!! Working with this company has been a great disappointment. I ordered new siding and gutters for my house, which ended up being a very expensive project. However, I liked the warranty and they appeared to offer quality work, so figured it was ok they had a higher than average price. However, since the project began we were told the wrong information from the sales rep, twice the wrong materials were ordered (wrong color or size), and they could never tell me when anything would happen. They seem unable to communicate effectively with me or with each other. We would be told workers were coming over later in the day only for them to never show. Different reps would provide different reasons why the workers weren’t there. They can’t because of the weather next person would call and say they had an emergency on another project. If you are going to make up stories you should at least get your story straight. This happened repeatedly, forcing my wife to stay home for no reason. They now believe the job is done, but I am still missing one shutter and another they left with the screw still popping out of it because they couldn’t be bothered to finish’s screwing it in. Two weeks and no one has returned my calls or ever answers their phone, at this point I assume they are dodging me. I encourage anyone looking to get work done to look somewhere else.

Very experienced work crews. I met with Ben Schwartz and ended up getting my roof done first. I was so impressed that I called Ben back and signed up to have my siding and trim done. After all was said and done, my house looks completely different and it is absolutely beautiful! HCR is not the cheapest, but I received everything I paid for and more.
